UNIT DESCRIPTION
In this didactic unit we work on aspects related to human rights and intellectual disability. It addresses issues such as:
- What are human rights?
- What are human rights?
- What are the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities?
- How do I exercise my rights?
- How to take care of the rights of others?
In order to achieve the competences required in this module, a series of practical activities are proposed. These activities require the use of new technologies.

- To know the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the context in which it was declared.
- Reflect on the importance of the 30 HRDs.
- Recognize the importance of the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities.
- To propose a "road map" for the defence of one's own rights, as well as for the exercise of one's duties in respect of the rights of others.
- Promote the use of new technologies with the learning of human rights.
- To know the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the context in which it was declared.

- METHODOLOGY
METHODOLOGY
- A series of "inputs" (digital resources) will be proposed, from which the different topics of unit 1 will be addressed.
Next, a practical activity will be scheduled in which the teacher will be able to make a didactic approach on the topics of interest, using free computer resources.
Finally, a moodle space will be set up to share the result of the personal work with other professionals, in order to obtain feedback that can enrich it.

Next, a series of resources are presented in which the theoretical contents of Unit 1 are addressed. In addition, a list of useful applications and computer programs to manage classroom activities.
In this section the trainer is expected to take the necessary time to review the contents presented and from them establish training itineraries adjusted to his/her class group.

The aim of this didactic unit is to create a learning resource for young people with intellectual disabilities. This resource should aim to raise awareness of human rights and the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities among young people with ID.
To do this activity you will need 3 hours of work.
Instructions:- Summarize the key concepts from the initial readings on human rights and the rights of people with ID. You can do this by making a mind map incorporating the ideas that are most appropriate for your teaching work.
- From all the concepts you have identified, highlight the most relevant rights you want to promote in your class group of young people with ID, taking into account the context of your organization.
- Select one of the technology tools or applications. Video tutorials are available on how to use some of the most popular tools.
- Design and create a learning resource accessible to young people with ID on human rights and the rights of persons with ID selected in point 2.

For the realization of this part of the session, you will need 45 minutes.
In this section you are expected to be able to share learning resources with the rest of the course participants:
- Share your learning resource in the Work Forum
- Explain and share how you would develop the session with the learning resource, highlighting why these rights are necessary to promote in the context of your entity / city / country.
- Discuss and compare with other participants from different entities, cities or countries.
